polling totally discredited

how can anyone have any confidence in the "science" of polling anymore?...there are published polls from the same area and the same time frame that vary by 10%!!!...look at the PA poll at http://www.realclearpolitics.com/bush_vs_kerry_sbys.html ...you have the "surveyUSA poll from 10/23-10/25" showing kerry up 8% and the "quinnipiac poll from 10/22-10/26" showing Bush up by 2%!!!...it is IMPOSSIBLE for both of these polls to be accurate!...but there they are...look through the data and you will see numerous other examples of the same problem

either polling is WAY OFF in their estimates of "margin of error", or partisan political hacks have totally taken over the science of polling...either way, polls have now proven they have gone the way of snake oil, professional wrestling, and all other junk science...you might as well listen to a group of kindergarteners to get just as accurate an estimate of the voter's leanings

support for Israel

what is the reasoning of the left and their european allies lessening their support of Israel?...it is especially astounding to see the hollywood left, dominated in many if not most places by Jewish Americans, moving towards a position of abandoning Israel



Israel is the only example of a democracy in the middle east...Israel is our strongest (if not only) ally in the middle east

how can the American left and the europeans think it's a good idea to support the palestinians over the Israelis?...do they think these muslims have anything close to peaceful thoughts towards Jews?...look at the uprising of anti-semitism in france, germany, and other european countries...is this the direction the left wants to take America?...what are American Jews thinking in supporting the left?...don't they see the direction of all this?

what edwards and kerry were really saying

the real issue in edwards and kerry both bringing up Mary Cheney's sexual orientation is why they brought it up...there is no question that their bringing Mary up was totally intentional and calculated...you know it was debated at the highest levels in their campaign

they obviously brought it up because they believe it would help them win votes...how could this help them win votes?...only by being perceived as a negative by some voters (presumably some on the far Christian right)



so let's be clear about what the kerry/edwards campaign is really saying - it is something like this: "don't vote for Bush/Cheney because they have a lesbian daughter on their ticket."...and that is reprehensible...what is even more reprehensible is gay rights supporters saying there is nothing wrong with kerry/edwards bringing this up when it is painfully obvious why they are bringing it up and what they are really saying
